Hi, I have just taken my exhaust off to replace it with a IXRACE exhaust. Now unfortunately when i tried to put the new one on there was some foam type material at the very base of the pipe and the new exhaust couldn't be put on without removing it. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the foam type stuff would be at the tail of the exhaust pipe it kind of looked metallic, when i started to try and take it off i thought it was a collar but then it just started to come off in metallic pieces. Any help is much appreciated thank you!

So it shouldn't really effect the new exhaust? just seems that the connection to the new exhaust isn't as good as it was on the last one now. I could just buy some new sealant tape then?
