But, but, every move in every direction absolutely and finally proves every point about politics, socio-economics and all those things that everybody was predicting would happen. Yes, in each direction. Folded arms

I get paid in Sterling and live overseas.

I am delighted with the continuously slide in the abyss it appears to be doing.

My teaching style was described as Soviet recently Shocked

So I can only suspect soviet teachers were distilled awesome.

Mpd, I usually pay tax in the country I work in, or get paid from, depending on the contract.
The point is, when you live in a $ country and get paid in $, the relative strength of the dollar doesn't really bother you unless you are bringing or sending things across the border. If you live in a $ country, but get paid in GBP, you might be quite upset that the pound is so weak, but delighted if and when Trumpgeddon happens.

I specialise in cruel and unusual punishments, and mood swings.

Keeps them on their toes.

Often for hours, in pressure positions.

Holy thread revival, Batman.

Considering Sterling seems to be shooting towards it's pre-2008 exchange levels (not! Laughing ) I've bitten the bullet and stumped up for a trip back to Blighty before our six figure income starts to look like small (Sterling) change again. I'll see you lot in June. #doingmybittokeepsterlingafloat #nicestrongsterlingnot Laughing

Crying or Very sad

It might almost be worth getting Comrade Corbyn in just to have it tank again.

It's still way over-valued.

The real over valuation is in the housing market.

People will really notice that correction Wink

Can't wait. If I was Corbyn and PM I would use such correction to purchase a large number of ex social houses and put them back into the system, alongside seizing those from slum landlords. Thumbs Up

If house prices are ever corrected then there would be a lot less need for social housing.

Of course, purchasing large numbers of ex social houses and putting them back into the system would very quickly put house prices back up again but I think that's besides your point. Wink

But if there are too many people and not enough houses. Prices don't change.

Go for it!

With your level of intelligence, you'll give Abbot a run for its money.

Yep, it'd expand the social housing sector, lowering the extortionate amounts being charged by private landlords. Win win.

Except if you're a slum landlord cunt, obviously. Which, given how much of a cunt you are, you probably would be. Thumbs Up

Always people who aren't now, and probably won't be, in a position to be able to buy their home. At least they'd have a secure home.

InB4: highest house-to-person ratio since Magna Carta.

Enough housing that people actually want to live in. High rise junkie dens and "starter home" shoeboxes just drive up the relative value of decent houses.
