Was this a bad idea? Apparently dry lube is not good for wet/rainy conditions.

Or am I stressing out over nothing? I used Muc Off dry lube, it was really cheap compared to standard wet lube which is what I was using previously.

Can I just spray the wet lube on or do I have to clean the dry one off first?

Which questions? The sentences in my post comprised of one question, followed by another that was asking the opposite.

Thankyou for waiting. Your call is important to us.

You're lubing the chain and that's enough for most people. Any lube is better than no lube.
Wet lube is the preferred option so next time you clean it use that.

[Call terminated] Reason - Overuse of word 'lube'.

Just keep an eye on it, clean and lube if it gets shitty and/or dry.

I use wax lube. It's fine, just make sure you keep the chain lubed, no matter what lube your using.

Dry lube has got to be applied on a brand-new/clean low mileage chain only. It even says so on the can, I do believe. It's not as good lubricant as the wet lube. But it's perfectly alright for the on tarmac use. Do NOT use dry lube on off-road motorcycles.

It is no different to the wet alternative. Lube it every 350-450km, or after a wet run. One thing, when you apply the dry lube, always let it dry on the chain before you ride it.

Apply it after riding the bike as the chain will still be warm and the wax will melt and run into all the gaps in the chain Thumbs Up

How warm?

Everybody repeats this truism, but I've yet to see anyone measuring temperatures or comparing them to the melting point of the lube.
