BCF now uses LetsEncrypt SSL certificates for both the site and CDN, and all connections are via HTTPS. Ordinary HTTP has been dropped entirely (and hopefully won't need to be brought back).

If you spot any problems with this, please let me know.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, carry on about your business. Nothing to see here.

Still can't embed https image links though which means mixed content warnings.. plus you're mixing content for farceboek etc

Code:
The page at 'https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=4405524#4405524' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'https://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?

@ScaredyCat - both of those bugs fixed. Obviously any existing img tags using https:// srcs won't be rewritten, but you can use https:// in future img tags.

Thumbs Up

Can you also put the referrer header back in please? It used to link to the topic which meant I could have an avatar per topic Smile

You're viewing a HTTPS page whereas your avatar URL is HTTP. By design, most browsers strip referrer headers in such cases (see here).

Using a HTTPS URL for your external avatar would be just fine, and the referrer header would be back where you'd expect it to be.

That won't work. The GIFv thing is an imgur-specific hack. Instead, link directly to an .mp4 or .webm like these:

Would this be why the content filter at work is now blocking BCF, reporting the URL as 'unclassified' and therefore porn or malicious?

Quite possibly. Do you happen to know what software is used to do the filtering?

Wow, that's cool, thanks . Mr. Green

Next up... It's time for images I post to be displayed, once you've sorted that then BCF will be fully utilising the wonders of gifv that I've been campaigning for.

Hugs n kisses, Wub

The only thing on the "BLOCKED" screen that comes up that might give a clue is the word "Ironport".

Light. It's not consistent, and begins by flickering, but something in here is making it very unhappy. No errors in the debug console, sadly.

[UPDATE] I now have a black-on-black debug console window. Rolling Eyes

[UPDATE 2] Aaaaand it crashed out.

Graphics card vendor/model and graphics driver version?

Is Firefox's Options > Advanced > Use hardware acceleration when available enabled? Does it make a difference without it?
