Sorry if I'm losing you sales. Have you got a quote that's relevant to the topic?

You're not losing me sales at all.

You are becoming the latest stroppy, "I AM TEH ALWAYS RIGHT", whiny bitch of BCF though.

Addition:-

There was this one guy who used to claim he was right and everyone else was wrong.
He would even tell those who are far more knowledgeable than he was, that they were so wrong they must be retarded.

His BCF name was U_W 2.0.

You are U_W and I claim my 5ponds.

Right... all I do is offer a differing opinion, and it's in this section I'm upsetting people* by saying radical things like both iOS and Android have their merits, that a device should run properly with official software or that a fire tv stick can run Kodi.

Rolling Eyes

What you call "offering a differing opinion" comes across as "having a tantrum".

No... I offer the opinion, you get upset and message Teme to back you up and derail the thread. Most of the discussions, even with an original disagreement have become constructive, you just constantly want to keep the same fight going.

Once again, you are missing every point made in a thread.

Once again you're referring to something not related to the topic, and carrying on this retarded feud we seem to be having. It's also getting tiresome you promoting your boxes in every topic on the subject... some people would consider that spamming.

If you're with BT, Virgin Media or Sky and streaming content using Kodi then you'll soon get a "Get It Right from a Genuine Site" letter.
(Ignore BBC's terminology of 'downloading' - they're now looking at streaming) - so get your bins ready.*

*For the letters, not Kodi boxes

Ah ok - I originally skimmed this article that appeared in my Google News feed:
https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/been-watching-pirate-tv-online-12465424

But I pasted a BBC link without really reading it - but yes - it looks like they're ignoring streamers for the moment. There must be at least 8 people left in the country who still use BitTorrent without a VPN or seedbox, so I can see why they're bothering...

With that in mind, the warning notices will still go out in large numbers but only to people who are savvy enough to circumvent a blockade but don’t take any other precautions as far as torrent transfers are concerned.

For others, who already turned to VPNs to give them access to blocked torrent sites, the battle is already over. They will never see a warning notice from their ISP and sites will remain available for as long as they stay online.

So will VPN, connect to torrent site, download torrent then VPN off still be good? I don't trust it'll stay as a friendly warning, as the BBC article points out they were asking illegal downloaders for bribes a while back (as far as I know that was Plusnet & Sky).

Use a VPN and all your ISP will see is traffic to and from that VPN.

Because the copyright laws cover duplication and distribution.
There is no law against streaming or just watching pre-recorded/downloaded Movies/TV/Music and it is incredibly hard/impossible to make one that is watertight in court and doesn't make a criminal of everyone.

I turn off the VPN before I start downloading (after I've got the torrent) as it's a lot faster. Not that I torrent much these days anyway.

Why are you using a VPN if you turn it off before downloading from torrents? Laughing

I'm starting to doubt whether the Firestick I use is the same product as what you lot have been using... mine works flawlessly. It's not slow and i've never had an issue with it. I'm pretty sure my Firestick is a refurbished one too, it was defo' cheaper than the norm.

Isn't that the wrong way around? A torrent file itself isn't actually illegal, is it? I thought the actual downloading part was where kittens died.

I use a VPN for the whole shebang, but I just leave it running in an always-on VM do don't really care how long it takes.

VPN to get into the blocked site and navigate around? I've never bothered trying to cover my tracks (and it's a free VPN so is quite slow).
