I wouldn't worry about the money. It's like money paid to escorts. While their peers slave away on minimum wage in Starbucks, they're getting hundreds a night. Which they then spend on crack and heroin so it stays in circulation and sustains the economy while ruining their physical and mental health. Likewise a thief would most probably squander the dough on drugs, toys and criminal lawyers and end up increasingly desperate. A pretty good result.
