Me? It's your idea, you pay them. They should be cheap, I understand that their skills have been purely theoretical up to now, since Trump is the first world leader who is vulnerable to their dangerous brain powers.

All these years, and nobody noticed that he was vulnerable to it. Think of the lives that could have been saved if only a Psychlo had spoken out before now. Crying or Very sad

Well, this thread turned out well Laughing

I must admit, after years at watching politics with detached horror, and comparing it to times in the past where a situation really just needed fixing... I also appreciate the change and the clear "fuck you" to populist liberalism.

Just worried how half cocked some of these things will turn out to go off.

Again, that's Trump's CEO-not-politician playbook. Try a variety of things, evaluate them, abandon what doesn't work. You know, reality rather than ideology.

What a monster.

Yes, he does. You say that as though it's a bad thing. Even the most hatchety of fake-newsy hit pieces only put his failures at 40%, a rate that he can (and has) taken all the way to the bank. The point is that he shuts them down, gets back in his golden lift with his latest trophy wife, and focusses on the next success.

You'd prefer the ideological train wreck of doubling down on a failing strategy for 4 years, then leaving the next guy to deal with the aftermath?

Ooh, #BLM, fugee-representing judge-activist throws down big style.

Two weeks in and already a constitutional crisis. It took Sharia May 6 months to manage that. Drooling

It's only a matter of time before someone is linked to doing some serious killing that had been let in under the judge.

I can imagine it now all going crazy.

Trump wins either way, with it blocked he can blame 'the system' and keep the people who voted for him happy.

Trump's border things (wall, immigration checks etc) are a distraction.

The real biggie is the review of the Dodd-Frank banking rules. These being the laws put into place to prevent what happened in 2008.

Quote:
To make sure that a crisis like this never happens again, President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act into law. The most far reaching Wall Street reform in history, Dodd-Frank will prevent the excessive risk-taking that led to the financial crisis.

That is going to work out well.

Jesus Shocked

Now that is worrying.

Like the dollar isn't already primed to collapse already. Maybe this is Trump's real plan, let the banks kill the dollar (again).

Perhaps he's converted lots of his USD to Yen. Then when he causes the USD to collapse he can pay off his debts to China for lots less...

I'm joking.. possibly

The question is though are those people looking at the actual cause of their woes? There will be no resolution of their problems or exacerbation of the problems if they target the wrong causes.

The Dodd-Frank rules are being reviewed. What is meant by reviewed is subject to speculation over the next 3 months.

While Dodd-Frank is imperfect and what came before was also imperfect (Glass-Steagall). We can also safely assume whatever comes after will also be imperfect.

Just because there imperfections does not mean changes may not be worthwhile.

I mean consider the NINJA loans, No Income No Job no Assets. I'm pretty sure you will agree that loaning lots of money to individuals like the above isn't a particularly sensible thing to do.

So all we can do is speculate if the replacement will make things better, worse or be completely neutral.

That's how a politician would think. I wouldn't make that assumption about Trump. How he'll react to being balked, I don't know, but I expect it'll be novel.

For example, something that he neatly slipped into the Trumpalanche of dictats was filing his 2020 bid straight away.

He can now pull the non-profit status of all the Soros funded rabble rousers, and out them as the naked political propaganda tools that they are.

One of those "Why did nobody ever think to do that before?" moments. They didn't, because they're not Trump.

Glory to the God Emperor.

She's breaking the law anyway, for her organisation to be classed as charitable it needs to be completely politically neutral.

Which it isn't.

No, conflating those two would be an entirely intentional genocide. Anyone who fronts TYT can get fucked, as can Anita 'Mean tweets are violence' Sarkeesian.

I'm not sure, sometimes unpopular leaders are retrospectively applauded for their efforts, so it could be in x amount of years when potential benefits are felt he's celebrated (unlikely in some circles Smile). In saying that he's not hanging about, so within his first term the US could end up looking like:

I think the BTTF option could be closer to the actual reality, but I could be wrong.

What's happening in the US of A is just as unprecedented as the Brexit.
