Need help with university dissertation!

Hi all,

I am currently undertaking a design/engineering project for my final year at university, focused on motorbike helmets. As I am not personally experienced with them myself, I was hoping some of you would be able to help by providing some information and feedback via a very short questionnaire!

Why did you choose to do your dissertation on a product that you have no experience with? It must be hard to get excited about something you never have cause to use yourself?

Has you helmet protected you in a crash?

No, if it had it would now be in the hands of the fire brigade being used as a training piece and I would have a new crash helmet.

No matter how good they are crash and hit your head in one and that is. Useful life over, time for a new one!

Mine cost £20 so I am not risking my head for the sake of £20!

(New Duchinni from Fowlers of Bristol, 4* SHARP rating, so I can afford to take that attitude with it).

He might genuinly be some random person who doesnt know the rainpal shite, He might not have picked motorbike helmets as a project to focus on... It might have been given to him out of a pool of products to work on..........

Or not. But it does involve helmets. Will save lives unlike rainpal as it would keep you focused on the road, and not glancing at the instruments or mirrors....................... Can you guess what it is yet?

That was terrible. You have made a questionnaire with no purpose. You haven't got an idea that you want develop, you ask us what features we'd like ...

I'd like an intravenous coffee supply but that would be unsuitable for most other riders.

Are you a designer or an engineer? I suspect you're the former.

Against my better judgement I did the survey.
If this is the sort of document someone in their "final year at university" is producing then I truly fear for the future of mankind.

I can only hope OP posted to BCF from a smartphone and the pre-emptive typing thingy turned "primary school" into "university".
