For year round riding. Must be leather, goretex, should have scaphoid slider/protection, and little finger bridge. I use muffs so dont care for winter/thermal gloves, good feel of the controls and protection is more important.

Anyone used "Richa Extreme Gore Tex" gloves? seem to be a winter glove? too thick and insulated for what I want?

Look at Richa gloves very carefully. I've got a pair similar (but not the same) as those. The main bit of the glove is fine, except the additional layer of re-inforcing leather on my left thumb coming unstitched slightly (I guess due to catching the edge on the indicator switch).

My big bug-bear is that much of the material up the arm from the wrist isn't leather, but a PU leather (i.e. cost-saving cheap shit in a piece of protective equipment). It pulled apart down the line of the stitching where the panels join together on both gloves, exposing the white wadding padding inside. They still work fine, and I'm sure they'd be ok in an off (that bit is where my jacket sleeve is anyway, and the wrist strap is fine), but they look rubbish.

I haven't tried them yet but the Spada Enforcer seems to be very well regarded as a good all round glove. A friend has a pair and raves about them. They're going to be my next pair I reckon.

As I said above, they must be goretex and should have palm sliders. And be leather. Which is none of the above.

Previous gloves were Alpinestar SP8's, I am after something similar feel but with goretex and more protection and thicker leather. They had worn through in several places, the leather was quite thin.

I did not provide a link, bamt I would be interested in your opinion, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191973517604

Fazer is currently winning for alternatives Neutral I dislike newer alpinestars gloves, and the wrist fastening is shit.

Both say thermal lining. Id much prefer a neutral/non-ventalated summer glove.

Having done a search, mine are the older version of that glove and cost about the same - they looked like this new (except the PU panels looked more like leather in real life):-https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RICHA-EXTREME-GORE-TEX-GTX-LEATHER-WINTER-THERMAL-MOTORCYCLE-GLOVES-XXL-/152146256313

Here's mine
https://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp182/punge_bcf/richa_zpsxjbr1nqp.jpg

Note that the PU has delaminated and split at the seams. The leather is still in reasonable nick, and they are still waterproof, but they are likely to end up being binned because they scrimped out on a couple of bits of leather. It's put me off buying Richa again.

I've had my alpinestars gp plus gloves for nearly 10 years and I ride daily all year round, they're not in great shape now but still just about serviceable, despite a number of spills. I too don't care for insulation etc more interested in comfort and feel but a pair of thin thermal gloves inside does the job when it drops below 0.

Definitely NOT a good all round glove. Depths of winter only. They are incredibly thick and make operating controls a case of blind luck.
They claim to be waterproof and are for 30mins, but then you get damp.
They are WAY too hot for anything over 8c, you just sweat.
But, they are very warm, well made, comfy, solid, waterproof for a while and are my new favourite winter glove. Thumbs Up

I use 3 sets of gloves
Winter = Spada Enforcer WP or Lobster gloves
Autumn + Spring = Alpinestars Drystar (very thin + great feel, but surprisingly warm)
Summer = Spada Moto-2 + Spada Freeride WP as spare.

This helps, I am probably going to get them. What are they like for summer use, warmth and feel?
The damage/PU looks easy enough to repair, does not put me off too much... Im assuming they got some decent miles in before this?

They started failing inside a year. I do about 25k a year.
They are a bit warm in summer, so I wear non-waterproof then (unless it is raining).

The only way to repair them is to unstitch the panels and replace with a decent material. It isn't strong enough to cope with repair stitching.

Use thin leather, contact adhesive. Ive used it to do the fingers on some gloves. Not great success on fingers, stiffens them a bit - still usable but would work much better on cuff or over a crash worn palm.

25k is not bad for gloves, Id be impressed if the fingers and rest of glove is perfect? Im on my 3rd pair in 50k. Most people do a lot less!

I agree, except the blind luck with controls bit. Never had any problems - well, maybe when they're brand new. I reckon there are much better gloves out there, but these are (or were when I bought mine) great value for money. Used to sell them by the truckload.

But no good for the OPs requirements.

Or buy some gloves made out of something strong, like leather! Or a strong cordura type textile. I really, really can't understand why they put such a rubbish, inadequate fabric there. £130 a pair isn't so cheap that you expect to have to bodge them back together.
It really is a case of spoiling the ship for half a penny of tar. I'd have bought another pair the same otherwise, whereas now I'm looking at any brand but Richa.

Current gloves. Would like to know what brand, quite like them other than they used textile between the fingers. The came with a bike, no idea what they are. They are very well ventilated.. need muffs using in this weather, then warm enough.

I had a pair of those prior to the enforcers. the enforces are the superior glove. Anything above 5 degrees and they are too warm to use.

The best bit is that my pair are the pair I was wearing when I binned the FZ on the M5. Despite the damage, they are still far superiour to those crap ones Krapdrama is wearing.

Cheers for the info re: the enforcers guys. Maybe not the best choice for me either in that case, I shall borrow my mate's first of all.

For summer? Alpinestars GP-Pro. Decidedly not cheap, but has finger bridge, slider etc. Love mine to bits.

For winter - Spada Enforcer WP's. As said, anything over mid single digits and I revert to the Alpinestars with liners under them. Way too hot. Nukes anything I've had to dfate for a winter glove. Deffo waterproof are, I did Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and back. Pissing down for the most part. dry warm hands.
