LOL - that was MacLeod wasn't it? See, black people are equally guilty of cultural appropriation Shocked Laughing

Pretty sure it has links back to Jamaica, too. Not sure why though - googling it produces a few celebs like Enos McLeod but I'd never heard of him before.

I read it in this:

https://www.patrioticalternative.org.uk/birmingham_knifeman_political_police

"The likely characteristics of the suspect (such that he eventually turned out to be a young Somali man) were correctly inferred by many ordinary people, and predictably the online left-wing mob denied this, and the police, as usual, tried to sweep what many had already figured out under the carpet."

To be fair, patriotical alternative need to be taken with a pinch of salt as they're one step up from Hitler.
Refugees not welcome sign indeed!

Early call out on the Anti Terrorism police - that's a rare one.

I think it's sad that Charlie Hebdo has had to go into a secret location.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-54251389

The other thing that's pissing me off at the moment is that the hearings for the Manchester bombings is going on at the moment, and is in the news most nights. But the perpetrator isn't there to hear the victims testimonies because he 'didn't want to'. He should be forced to listen to the stories and suffer (if he has any conscience).

Maybe this truly is another reason why they want to come here. Take a look at the map showing European countries which ban ritual slaughter.

Mind you, if the animals are stunned first it's not much different to Western methods.

This gruaniad link says they're stunned too.

Quote:
But contrary to what many assume, most animals killed by halal methods are stunned before slaughter. FSA estimates suggest that 88% of animals in the UK killed by halal methods were stunned beforehand in a way that many Muslims find religiously acceptable.

Quote:
The Jewish method of slaughter called shechita cannot involve pre-slaughter stunning at all. Its proponents say the technique learned by practitioners over seven years of training meets the European Union's requirement for stunning in that it brings insensitivity to pain and distress. They argue that a surgically sharp instrument, twice the width of the animal's neck and known as the chalaf, is sufficient because of the speed and expertise with which is applied.

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/may/08/what-does-halal-method-animal-slaughter-involve

Is there any religious or health reasons reason they aren't beheaded?

"French police shot dead a man who minutes earlier had killed a middle school teacher by slitting his throat in the street in a suburb of Paris.

The teacher had shown pupils in his class cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, which are considered by Muslims to be blasphemous, a police source told Reuters.

France's anti-terror prosecutor said it was investigating the attack, which took place in Conflans Sainte-Honorine, a suburb north-west of Paris.

The suspected attacker was spotted by a police patrol while carrying a knife a short distance from the scene of the attack. The police shot the suspect dead, according to a police spokesman.

A police source said that witnesses had heard the attacker shout "Allah Akbar", or "God is Great". The police spokesman said that information was being checked."

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/police-shoot-man-beheaded-victim-paris-a4571961.html

Other papers are saying that the attacker was "an enraged parent confronting the teacher with a kitchen knife, and then cutting his head off" and that they're being viewed as a "suspected terrorist".

In conclusion, I'd say that it's too early to say if it was anything to do with Islam. Surprised

A statement by an Imam said

"A civilisation does not kill an innocent person, barbarism does," Tareq Oubrou, imam of a mosque in Bordeaux, told France Inter.

I think that Imam has just declared his religion barbaric.

Manchester Arena Bombing:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-54695580

Quote:
The Showsec security guard also told police: "I felt unsure about what to do.

"It's very difficult to define a terrorist. For all I knew he might well be an innocent Asian male.

"I did not want people to think I am stereotyping him because of his race.

"I was scared of being wrong and being branded a racist if I got it wrong and would have got into trouble. It made me hesitant.

"I wanted to get it right and not mess it up by over-reacting or judging someone by their race."

And there's the bombshell - excusing the pun.

Nice being the town in France rather than "would you mind awfully if I tested this knife?"

Of course, it's not an actual terrorist attack 'cos only the mayor said that in passing and the mutterings of "Où est mon snackbar?" as they whisked the suspect away by ambulance are entirely incidental. And as The French Council of the Muslim Faith condemned the attack it's #ntdwi Wink

a special protection system

Facebook & Twitter, apparently.
Quote:
May 29, 2018. PARIS (AP) — France’s Interior Ministry announced plans on Tuesday to beef up its emergency alert system to the public across social media.

The ministry said in a statement that from June during immediate threats of danger, such as a terror attack, the ministry’s alerts will be given priority broadcast on Twitter, Facebook and Google as well as on French public transport and television.

The statement said that Twitter will give “special visibility” to the ministry’s alerts with a banner.

In a specific agreement, Facebook will also allow the French government to communicate to people directly via the social network’s “safety check” tool, created in 2014.

The ministry said that this is the first time in Europe that Facebook has allowed public authorities to use this tool in this way.

This announcement comes as a much-derided attack alert app launched in 2016 called SAIP is being withdrawn after malfunctions.
