Maybe, but it does seem to be the autists who f**k up their attacks. This guy: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-40059351 and another one in Exeter springs to mind (although he had apparently been 'groomed'): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Exeter_attempted_bombing

I've always found this incompetance on the part of would-be bombers to be very odd. Wouldn't you test and re-test such a device before doing a "live" run? It's not like you get to try again if it goes wrong.

It's not even like the information about explosives is particularly restricted (there are a lot of legitimate uses for them). My library has a copy of this rather interesting text.

Where is the legendary "rainman" type obsession with details and repetition? Damon Smith was doing a degree in computer forensics, so he wasn't at the learning difficulties end of the autistic spectrum, why are the aspergers wanna-be terrorists so crap at it?

This may cause problems with the 'let all the children in' narrative.. the attempted parsons bomber is perhaps, allegedly, a child refugee

The only realistic terorist incident was the one in manchester.

It was during Ramadan, try going on a rampage on an empty stomach. They aren't 'sophisticated' enough to pull off a bomb attack, and the chances of getting caught beforehand increases with a bomb plot.

TBH it sounded like they played up the sperg angle and downplayed the Islamic one (he was allegedly sympathetic towards 'their' cause).

A dozen of our bike club turned up to do a "biker down" first aid course at South Queensferry (near Edinburgh) today.

We were met there and told it had been cancelled because of the London Tube attack. Apparently it's the fire brigade who run it and it was cancelled.

6 hour round trip with the wife on the back.

Next fucking jihadi I see is getting a right do-ing!

Obviously they're more likely to find a smouldering Lidl bag than you're to find an injured biker Neutral

How are you going to recognise one? Af-Pak-Middle Eastern with beard in their traditional dress? I see plenty like that in the local supermarket or waiting for the bus. No Allahu Akbars, no buckets fizzed and no bombs went off. They don't wear a big badge with jihadist on it, they blend in to their ever expanding community. Snackbars even wear Nike trackies and trainers just like the local white or black scally scumbags. You're playing a big game of 'Where's Walli?' and we're not talking Ariel Badgers either. At least his 6 gorillion scoville game would be fun when it blew your head off.

Naaawwwww dawg, peoples are generally stupid and easily led, specially those yunguns. Some become muslims (some not through their own choice, kiddy indoctrination innit) and some become jihadis. Muslims not a race innit.

I'll save the whataboutism as the thread is specific but humans have issues.

Opposite direction of travel - they were heading down towards Fenchurch St.

Lots of them and I do mean lots. 3 city of London armed cars headed wrong way up one way street at very high speed. Couple of blue panel vans followed minutes after. Fire engines in the distance.

All gone quiet again now - but something definitely had them on high alert.

Sirens wise I must have counted 20+ and I must have eyeballed at least 10 vehicles at high speed.

Back in the office now but can hear helicopters circling.

Still nothing on the news but that's a lot of commotion if it's for nothing.

Leadenhall Market was evacuated at around 1.45pm....

Don't know what this would be doing in a ntdwi thread though? IED... Could have been anyone! Quiet likely a UKIP supporter no doubt Thinking

Three significant bomb scares in one day:

- M1
- Holborn
- Leadenhall market

Can't blame people for being suspicious of any bags, and I suppose the police have to respond as if its a genuine bomb threat.

Takes a lot of resources, and causes a lot of disruption though. Wouldn't take much for a malicious person to cripple the transport network with a number of simultaneous reports of suspicious packages.

That'll be it.

Fuck, I was supposed to meet someone at the Moon which is in the market, and at the last minute they swapped to the Cock & Woolpack instead, otherwise I'd have been there.
