The reasoning is that if kids reject their parents you can disrupt the chain of knowledge handed down from generation to generation. TBH by the time kids reach 11 or 12 they are more than capable of corrupting themselves and a monkey with a penis wouldn't make a slight bit of difference.

Younger than that,, then yes, a but awkward, but I haven't brought my kids up to think the human body is in any way shameful or rude.

I always think the extremes of left and right wing meet round the back (ooh err!) in that they have different political stances but their ultimate solutions are quite similar. Intolerance and oppression. The “caring” left in particular just don’t know it.

Highlighted by the SNP causing people to have to watch what they say even in their own households, and police telling people they need to "check their thinking", among other examples. A dangerously slippery slope.

I'm all for the far right, such as they are, being called out, but I just don't see the worst threat currently coming from that direction. And the left do themselves no favours by calling everyone who disagrees with them "far right". Most people who use that term seemingly can't even define it.

Oh well, it's not like politics is based on facts, or even can be; mostly views and opinions.

That's because the left are the ones who are really in charge (civil servants). Politicians are just PR managers. Ever notice how one minister can replace another so easily? That's because they are little more than a temporary advisor to the permanent staff.

The ministers make policy, civil servants apply it.

Thats why a suddren change of minister doesn't affect day to day running, it'd done by the civil servants.

When a minister changes the policy however, that policy is applied.
