In an ideal world you'd be able to speak to him and see if there's a way to improve the insulation/sound deadening between the houses.

As he's immediately taken to 'revenge' by turning up his music, banging on the walls etc.. that's obviously out of the question.

The best thing you can do is start recording his outbursts. Write it down in the notebook of what and when + video/audio recordings and routinely call the police with the complaints.

Don't retaliate.

Unfortunately there's not overly much you can do beyond that.

If he does threaten you again hopefully you'll record it and report it.

Sounds like he's making enough friends that maybe one of them will take care of the matter for you.

Why not be really nice to him?

Make him some jam. Give him jam every week.

Move your washing machine away from the party wall.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Quite, now he's warned you, you're not likely to just open the door to him! When my neighbour tried it he didn't warn me - just knocked on the door and came at me when I opened it.

I called the police to tell them that my neighbour had forced entry and was threatening me with a knife. They called back 8 hours later to check if everything was OK Laughing
