What ever motorcycle it is, find the pdf service manual and set the suspension all to stock, before you go and waste your money on any specialist. If I got a £ everytime I just put the suspension of a motorcycle to stock (using the service manual) fixing the issue, I'd have, well about £4. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

This is a good read:

You can setup suspension on your own, but its a lot easier and quicker with a mate.
Take it to a specialist if you can't get it working ok.
After setting preload + sag front / rear (circa 25mm front and 35mm rear sag). I've found good mileage in removing all damping and seeing how that feels. Then putting max damping on. Then going to the "comfort" setting in the manual. Often found this still too hard and backed it out 2-3 clicks from there. |
