Thanks,

Have pm'd him just now, I think i'm fucked tbh will be bussing it into work at best, losing my job at worst, as I can't afford the quotes that I'm getting when I tick the 'have you ever had insurance cancelled' box.

I'll chance it with my car insurance as its just been renewed but once this policy ends I can't get insured Sad

Don't stress the policy cancellation thing. It's been cancelled because your current situation no longer fits their underwriting strategy; it hasn't been cancelled as a result of your actions. More specifically it's as a result of their asking a question which wasn't clear fair and not misleading. More specifically again, if they've cancelled your policy rather than avoiding it from the inception on grounds of non disclosure then they've affirmed that cover did indeed in the interim, which is hilarious really given what they're telling you now about having a cancellation for not returning documents - like GTF and then some Laughing

Don't worry about it; stick phone down to them and don't contact them ever again. All correspondence will now be in writing and headed complaint.

Go to another insurance company, buy insurance in the normal way without disclosing any of this. Live happily ever after.

As for the first bunch of shitsticks - if you want, fire me the documents, the exact chain of events and details of the conversations had and I'll stick a complaint letter together to help you out.

No hero here - just trying to save an entire industry of people from their own naivety.

There's not a lot of bad people in this industry - there are bad people, but they're definitely not the majority, and they're definitely not the people sitting in Romford taking 70 calls a day for a living. They're not trying to be deliberately obstructive, they just don't know any better, unfortunately.

Sad state of affairs but we fix what we can.
