Like metaphorical elephants and mice, the poor lorryists might have got a fright and ploughed into each other/a bridge. That is why he endangered more than just himself.

Meh. I've done stupider (today).

"Lorry driver that wasn't paying attention to other vehicles is surprised when one appears in a gap big enough for the vehicle in question."

Wtf.. Looks fairly standard to me. Confused

"If I flashed him in..."
"If I had swerved slightly..."

Yeah "if" - I'm sure the biker had eyes so he can see how far into the overtake the other lorry was...

People commenting on the dangerous maneuvers motorcyclists do, without having ridden one properly themselves.

Oh and don't get me started on his "I never saw the biker appear..." comment!!

Rolling Eyes

How about :

"If the motorcyclist had slowed to 60 behind the lorry and been rear ended..."

"If the overtaking lorry had a blowout with the biker behind and he got taken out by a chunk of tyre..."

He obviously fitted fine and no kittens died.

Edit: And watching it again I wouldn't say it was much over 70mph

Used to do that all the time on the morning commute. Stopped after a truck appeared to move and give me space, then halfway through it drifted back in again and did nearly squish me. Haven't trusted truckers with this since.

Agreed they are temperamental at best, murderous at worst.

But the trick is to not spend long in there, once you've committed to it, just gun it through and slow down after, in the danger area for less than half a second.

Nimble and quick moving they aint. Laughing Thumbs Up

Aye, had been sitting behind both of them - 2 lane motorway - close to the white lines waiting for one to pass the other, and didn't drop a gear or owt hence only being halfway thru when the twat drifted back in.

Fail Online: "For goodness sake!! i've said it plenty of times on here but motorbikes should be banned outright! I've never seen one being ridden at or below the speed limit, they are a nuisance on the roads. The truck driver could easily have been startled and ended up with a very serious accident on that motorway. BAN THEM!"

Mr Jim, chill.

I had a giggle at that one as well.. Its well known among the motorcycle community that your steed comes out of the garage at 31mph.

It can be a bit of a pain when you need to get off at the shops, but we cope somehow.

Rolling Eyes

I think Mr Jim is long overdue an appointment at dignitas.

Used to do this all the time at silly speeds, had a little scare involving being squished into the curtain side of one of the trucks Embarassed , now I still do it but with a little more caution.

No wonder it's so dangerous out there, they're all so oblivious to 2 wheels they can't even see us unless we break Mach 5. Laughing
