The level of fail is extraordinary.

If it's in the bike it was traceable on the same day.

Further, why have you bought a chav bike with only one key? Previous owner tell you they'd lost it?

Mine came with two keys, one fitted the bike, one didn't...

Further fail in not getting another one cut.

Recently bent my Kwak key so walked in to local-ish key cutters with the spare and they whipped out a catalogue of manufactures put the key on page until correct one and ordered there and then.

.. Still waiting a week latter mind <dies from boredom>.

How many bikes have electronically coded ignition keys these days? My V-Strom does, and fortunately I have two of them because God knows what a replacement would cost. Asking Timpsons to cut a new one wouldn't get me very far!

It was heavy traffic so he drove slower than a lorry usually goes- it was upright when we got there and motogp angle when we arrived. If it had fat tyres I don't think it would have dipped. Somehow manoeuvred it on and off with the steering lock on

I was actually referencing my own recovery by the AA where the bike fell while being loaded just as the chap was starting to strap it down
