Today after reading the thread on giving blood it made me think , as i shall be out riding my bike in the not to distant future , what kind of identification method should i get ? Specifically thinking of dog tags with name address , blood type and other such like usefull information should the worst happen . Any of you use anything like this ? Got any advice on what to get ?

It's unlikely that the medical services will take what is stamped on a 'dog tag' for granted, they would do their own tests anyway. Your name, date of birth and maybe an emergency contact number would do.
If you have any specific information regarding medical treatment, it should be worn on a proper 'Med Alert' bracelet or pendant.

Just carry a wallet with your basic details in. They will find it when cutting your leathers off.

It's a little extreme, but a lot of people I know have their blood group tattooed on the inside of their wrist. It's easily found because it's a pulse point and easily covered by a watch strap.

What about keeping your drivers license for ID Wink blood group isn't needed as they'll do their own tests (they did with me).

You don't really need anything. When you're not awake they manage to find out what they need to know without problems.

When I'm out on my bike I always carry my driving licence with me as a matter of course, because it has all my details on it. I don't have a clue what my blood group is, so I can't do much about that.

When I was a tad younger and doing stuff like climbing, canoeing, etc. my parents got me an SOS Talisman. A little pendant on a very good chain (didn't break) that unscrewed and there was a special piece of clever folder paper inside where you'd write all you info. They also did a bracelet.

I think they're still available. Did a quick google and came up with this link and https://www.sos-talisman.com/. Think they got mine from one of the high street jewellers - Ratners or the like. Maybe worth checking if you're interested.

I'm not sure if they're stiil available, or who did them, so this might be a pointless post but a couple of years ago someone was selling a helmet sticker, no bigger than the ACU sticker that had two layers and between the layers was a hexagonal fold out card that you could write all the relevant information on. I don't think it ever caught on, but it was a brilliant idea.
