Anyone know of a decent free/cheap utility to remove password protection from an Excel 2010 .xlsx workbook?

That's a nice easy solution, I'd never thought of that.

Another way to view info in a protected workook is to open it in Libra / star / open office etc.

Similar trick with word. Save as rtf, open in notepad, remove password line then use word to save as a word document again. Obviously this doesn't work for excel, hence the method above.
