How long is a piece of string? Just work? 50 miles or so. If it's not pissing it down and I'm off for a week, I may do 1000+.

I mite of counted it wrong I do 33 miles each way to work 5 days a week Then to my girlfriends and back it's 47 each way, that's without the odd pottering around to town and ride outs etc.
It's my only form of transport at mo so I'm out all weathers

250 a week commuting. Unless it's actually snowing and then I get the train.

Between 360 and 600 miles per week commuting. Plus leisure riding, which can be a couple of hundred miles a day on a weekend.

There are definitely more bikes on the road now the weather is brightening up, some days I'd hardly see any over winter.

Noticeable increase of bikes on the roads yet nobody beats the grim determination of 'fat bloke on scooter' who rides the same commute as me. He's a really big bloke..French scrum-sized big, wearing a padded highviz jacket atop of a 50cc scooter during ice-snow-hail-rain-storms. His shoulders rub hedges and 90% of traffic overtakes him close enough that he could touch them. He dodges nothing..potholes...fuck potholes, twigs, stones, overbanding are where he chooses to ride.
His scooter has all identifiable features obscured by filth.

The bloke is a genius.

Don't know how people can face a commuting mileage like that every day.Furthest i have ever lived from work is 7 miles. That sort of commute would destroy me mentally.

I love my 33 miles to work in the morning you feel so hyped and fresh when you arrive at work, but different in the rain as can't wait to get to work ha ha

0 for commuting, I walk, unless on the rare occasion I ride to the other office which is a bit further out.

On weekends anywhere from 0 to 500 depending on if I'm riding out, and if we do both days or just one.

So I can't really give an average mileage per week because bike is purely a toy, as such difficult to calculate with irregular riding pattern. Winter fucks it up too.

It probably depends a lot on your job. I love what I do, and am paid pretty well for it, so a couple of hours a day commuting isn't a big deal. It's a bit specialised, so there aren't that many locations I could work.

Many years ago I used to do a 110 mile round trip commute, but half of that was glorious roads through the peak district. Stuck that job for 5 years.

My worst commute was 650 miles each way (as the crow flies), though that was normally only once a week (occasionally twice) for about four years, and done by car, plane, train, car/bicycle. Five hours each way was a killer - especially on the odd days where I'd do that as a day trip.

Strangely enough, when I lived on a small island (rock) I'd average around 200 miles per week.

Now I'm living on a much bigger island my average is around 20-30 miles per week, which is just commuting to work.

I expect the latter will increase greatly come the better weather though.

I bought a zzr1100 off a guy who did that kind of motorway mileage, was at 82000 miles when I got it. The rear tyre was perfectly squared off you could almost stand the bike up on the tyres. I got a folder with the bike which had all his servicing bills and they added up to a staggering amount - more than the new cost of the bike. Weirdest one was a bill for a new swing-arm because the bushes had seized solid. Thing is, the garage did all his servicing must not have bothered to grease the bushes despite there being grease nipples installed. New arm was £300-odd plus labour I think that bill alone came to £800-something.

Between 200 and 250 miles per week, consistently, throughout this winter. By the look of things today, the weekend warriors are back, being slow in rural Oxon and Bucks Wink , so we'll see many more commuters as well from now until autumn.

250 a week during winter, 300 a week otherwise - plus any weekend rides.

I'd have to work mine out as an average across the year. Doubt the number I'd end with would be much
higher than about 35.

About 150/200 miles a week just commuting and getting around, shopping etc.

I only see 2 other bikes regularly, one ridden by a guy who seems to wear a dark visor whatever the weather/time of day.
