I am looking at one of these in the week and the chances of me buying it are pretty high. What i need to know is what,if any, changes i need to make in order to run a race can?

the 2004 CBF600 is a de-tuned version of the CB600F (hornet).
they are big heavy and not all that quick

nice enough bikes (its what i ride)...
but if your wanting more poke, why not look at a Hornet ?

Would need to upjet the carbs for an older carbed engine...
Are no adjustments (re-map?) required for an FI engine?

Wouldn't bother on either count for just a can. Other mods like airbox/pod filters, full system then yes. I've put many cans, including GP stubbies, on many carbed bikes over the years and never rejetted them.

I know my CBR 600 F3 rev's out great on the Yoshi it came with but its faarrrr to loud for the track. Put on the standard exhaust and it's sad face, almost have to drop a gear to get it through mid range if you want to get anywhere quick...

Maybe I should check the jets Rolling Eyes
