Suzuki SB200 won't run without choke

Hi,
Trying to get a 1980 Suzuki SB200 running again after standing for 20 years.
I've cleaned out the carbs with carb cleaner and compressed air and changed the float needle & seat. I also changed the air filter and spark plugs.
She started up but is running really rough. Thought all it needed was a good run. However, when I turn the choke off the left cylinder dies and the right keeps running but bogs down a bit. The carbs on the bike are Mikuni VM18SS's.
Not sure where to go from here.

Any suggestions?

Ultrasonic cleaner. Make sure pilot circuits and emulsion tubes are surgically clean.
