Slow booting SSD, finally found problem.

I've got a 512gb Crucial MX100 SSD in my laptop and it was taking nearly 2 minutes to boot up.
It would start booting up, load the widows page and then freeze for a minute with no hard drive activity. After about a minute it would load the log in page.
I checked the start logs and couldn't find any problems, in fact there were no problems anywhere and consulting internet forums got me nowhere, everything checked out as good.
I finally found a post where someone like me had left a microSD converter in place and removing this cured the problem. I removed mine and it dropped the boot time from 2 minutes to 14 seconds.

I still can't work out why this was the problem, the converter is supposed to be passive but it worked so worth a try for others having the same problem.
