65% white apparently.
~1500 crimes.

'Within 1 mile' barely makes sense in London though. That could well mean 0 crimes in my street and 1500 crimes half a mile away.

There might be a few thousand people within 1 mile of a suburban house; I would estimate 50-100K within 1 mile of me at the moment.

1 mile east of here is Acton, 1 mile west of here is Kensington.

The age groups which span more years have more people in them.

Well I figure you can only pack x amount of people into a y area with normal housing anyway. It would be easy to skew with highrises and flats but only you would know that.

I guess it's that I think 1 mile is 'bigger' in a city so there being far more crime is kind of misleading especially in terms of how 'at risk' you feel.

If I lived on a farm and a few miles down the road another farm owner gets shot I think that would seriously rattle me.

By contrast:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/dec/06/fulham-shooting-man-killed-in-suspected-ambush-outside-takeaway-gunshot-head-london

I had a takeaway in Fulham the other night and didn't really think about it. Dunno.

I don't know how you can come up with a metric that captures that.

Then again if you are looking for bike theft as you said in the original post it is spot on, bike was thefted. Laughing

321 people in my postcode. 316 white. A couple of mixed race and a Chinese person and 2 'other' Asian. 25% Atheist, 10% didn't say and the rest are Christian, except for the single Jew - whom I am yet to meet.

It's therefore no surprise it was a firmly Remain area. We don't know how good we have it - or maybe we do.

There were 3 crimes in December. 2 at the same address, I'd guess.

What I'm taking from this is that I need to move Smile It's strange though, my house has never been broken into, and no ones ever tried to steal my bike. Think I've been mugged once in the last decade, although the decade before that was horrendous (kids/teens get targeted a lot more). Also on nights out if you're going home alone muggers go after people who are pissed.
