Ordered a clear pinlock visor, and was sent a yellow one, after looking up on it improves contrast, sounds great, but I do a lot of night riding, and have seen some reports that it is a bit shite for that, although others say it is great. Any experiences of yellow visor vs clear ones?

Is it worth sending it back for a clear one or get a bit of a discount and keep the yellow one?

Have you tried peeling the protectve film off yet? I wear yellow lensed glasses at night in the car sometimes,
reduces glare pretty effectively IMO? I actually wanted a yellow insert for my Shark Spartan Carbon as I have
a black visor on it for daytime use which has the supplied clear insert fitted in that, couldn't bloody find one so
settled for clear for my clear visor. Crying or Very sad

Boss bought a yellow insert for his lid, loves it, loved it so much that the other boss got a yellow visor as Schuberth do not do yellow pinlock inserts. She loves it and wishes she had bought one sooner. So much so I am thinking about getting one.

Lol @ protective film! 😂

I have a clear one for night riding and use the yellow on grey and dismal days.

Agree that yellow ones are proper shite at night. Headlights just flare in them.

Are you absolutely sure you didn't discard the pinlock visor and are now wearing the protective film?

So you're the one who parks their bike in the car park with the chain through the helmet and the visor still attached but open.

I did wonder what that drunk guy was tugging at his belt for when I returned.

Might need to take the pinlock out and clean it, ew.

Brill as always, a load of funny replies and a load of useful replies.
My headlight is shite as it is, if I am not paying attention on dark twistys the bends can sneak up on you and be quite scary, even on full beam. I will send it back, cheers.

My money is still on the film. Check front, back, top and bottom. It can be elusive.

I'll hold my hands up and say I only peeled one side of the pinlock. It took me over a week before I took it out again thinking it was shit and found the other side also had a film on it.

Somewhere I own some impact rated sungalsses with interchangable lenses. Smoke, mirrorshades and clear inserts all used, yellow was a big distraction for me.

Check riders favouring yellow aren't doing so because dyslexic or similar. I have a friend that only discovered she was dyslexic (see also Irlen's) after borrowing some yellow safety glasses and finding road signs no longer impossible to read...
