Hello

I have a Suzuki AP 50 Moped (new one) that I thought was going to be a quick turn around but it's just been one disaster after the next with it.

Anyway, it has had a new exhaust, barrel and gasket, yet it is still blowing from the exhaust manifold. I have literally taken the exhaust on and off 20 times and tightened it to breaking point but it still leaks very slightly.

I haven't put any sealant on it as all surfaces are perfect and I didn't think it would need it.

Any ideas?

You probably need new gaskets.

On other bikes they are big copper rings. You tighten and the exhaust pipe crushes the copper ring sealing the tiny gaps.

I have fitted new gasket. It is a flat one that spreads across the exhaust port and both bolt holes. I've even tried putting two exhaust gaskets on it!

Spread some sealant over the gasket and leave to harden
