Honda are recaling there cbr600rr built in 2003 and 2004 to fix a potential problem with the rear brake.
It has been found the bearings on the rear brake actuating rod can seize if exposed to road salt, possibly leading to the rod snapping and causing brake failure.

Honda will be writing to owners of affected bikes, but if you want to double check, the recall applies to 2003 models with chassis numbers from 3M000001 to 3M000648 and 2004 bikes with the chassis numbers from 4M100001 to 4M100593

Thumbs Up

Interesting, a friend has recently had an accident on one of these, he was going round a bend one night and he says the bike just went from under him. Bike was a write off and he had some nice gravel rash! (only wearing jeans).
