which 125 is right?

Hi

Im new here .. so HI

anyway. im 17 and done my CBT, so im lookin for a 125cc. I would very much prefer a 4 stroke as i loath the 2 stroke sound.

so far ive looked at a suzuki gs 125, honda cg 125 and a yamaha sr 125. I thought surely these cant be the only 4 stokes out there, so wat do u guys rekon?

Here's a few,

Honda XR 125, CBF 125, CBR 125

Yamaha YZF R125, WR 125, YBR 125

I reckon there are loads of 125cc 4 strokes out there you just have to look Rolling Eyes

In my opinion you'd be better off getting a 2 stroke and buying some earplugs....

Hmm speaking from experience with only the honda cg and yamaha sr, I would go for the cg. Honda are a very good make and has a bigger tank so seems to be more economical in that sense- the sr ran out of fuel where the cg had well over half a tank lol.

Im doing my A2 on an sr and struggle to get it up to speed and its not brilliantly comfortable after a while

for the Gs, and the Cg as i'm sure many people on here will tell you. You should be able to get a cheap enough one to save money for a bigger bike Very Happy

. though i would say to get one with a disc, drums are F**king dangerous lol Laughing

I'm quite tall so I ride a Honda XL 125 Varadero, its the only 125 I dont feel cramped on, Honda reliability, good on fuel and quite nippy. Its all down to personal preference really, have a sit on a few or have a walk around your local town where riders park up and chances are you will get the chance to see a few options together or a local bike shop.

Go to a good local bike shop and have a nose around. Sit on the ones that interest you and have a word with the guy who should be able to advise you.
