Remember being on the back of my mates gsx a few years ago now and the "nod" to fellow bikers was a given to and from!

Since passing my DAS I nod at every man and his dog on two wheels...but don't get a lot of nods back!

Is it something I said 😳

Depends where you are. Here in N.Wales, yeah, most do, unless it's Harley riders, never seen a nod off a single one. I'll nod to anyone on 2 wheels, we're enjoying the same road, even Harley riders.

I nod to everyone. Including passing cars. They could be bikers too.

Sorry, if I'm enjoying the road, I don't have time to nod, especially in that there Wales.

Nod? I was stuck by the side of the road for over 5 hours on Wednesday, at least a dozen or so bikes passed me without making eye contact, let alone nod.

I wave.

Well, I say "wave", it's more what you might call a salute.

I'm a nodder. Sometimes I initiate the nod exchange, sometimes I'm the receiver of the nod. But it always reminds me of the first time that I was nodded to. I had no pre-warning about this unspoken code of conduct, so when someone nodded to me unexpectedly I was overwhelmed. Accepted in to the biking community.
Now I'm usually the first to nod. Hopefully, spreading some joy to any budding new rider that I come across.

Round by me they usually wave enthusiastically because they're nice like that. I think it's just surprise that another person rides in an area where it rains 90% of the time. Plus it's pretty rural so folk are generally more friendly.
