Not been riding too long, but I went on my mates cbr the other day, and I genuinely loved riding th faired bike. Mine is a cb650f, and I have two main gripes with it. The sound (sounds like a dishwasher) and the buffeting on motorways/ any speed over 60.

Now I'm on pcp which gives me an option to trade in pretty much any time. I've been offered a 16 plate cbr600rr for £10 a month more than I'm paying.

Is it too early for me to trade it in? Opinions please
(Don't be too harsh on me but I am probably going to get it)

Ash

Your question is 'should you ditch the bike you don't like for one you do' for a tenner difference?

Yes

You absolutely should if it's just £10 a month, which it isn't, but self deception is a pretty crucial part of the biking experience, so have at it.

Go for it!

£10 a month difference? Not worth worrying about and potentially the last chance to own a dying breed of bike.

Sounds daft but PCP is actually only paying finance on the difference between the value of the new bike and a 3 year old bike.

So it's perfectly reasonable that the more desirable RR would not depreciate as much. Honda website says £1800 deposit and £105 per month, so £5580 over three years. The CB650f costs a total of £6600 new, without interest.

I will be Rainpal-ships-for-real astonished if you can drop off the 650F and ride away on the 600RR for £10 a month and no other changes.

No lump sum? No "arrangement fee"? Same balloon payment at the end?

My bestest certified internet accountancy estimate says that the balloon inflates from £1800 to £4000.

This is assuming that OP has already satisfied the requirement of £1800 down payment that Hondas figures say.

Insurance goes up from 240 to 400 so not the end of the world, and yes it's literally only £10 more a month. I've paid about £2200 off the original bike so far. Might help that my mate works there on the car department so he's got me a good deal

<pulls funny face>

While another two hundred might not seem all that much to get the juices temporarily flowing do keep in mind that at renewal you'll be paying the full wack so as long you're OK with paying 400 or thereabouts, possibly less possibly more because who knows, then fair play.

In what way?

Price: £2700 difference (£7200 for old, £9900 for new)
Power: 38bhp difference (80bhp for old, 118bhp for new)

If you can afford it, do it.

People will probably tell you to save up 2k and go and buy a 90's sportsbike, because finance is bad etc.

It's your money, you spend it how you like Thumbs Up
