went snowboarding recently, was quite surprised by how much bike gear I ended up using.
Base layers merino thermals
Padded MTB shorts
Knee pads
Polar buff
goretex gloves
Gloves worked in keeping my hands dry but got wet and heavy. I'd have concerns about the same happening to the trousers.
Depending on the airport/destination a lot of the time they sell gear in the airport (expensive) or you could try the alpinestars at the resort and if they no good buy a pair there, usually not too expensive, again depending where you go.
or even ring around your mates they might have a spare pair ____________________ Observation is the greatest source of wisdom. |

Just spoke to a friend who said they snowboarded in their textile trousers and said it was fine ____________________ Observation is the greatest source of wisdom. |

Ski naked, take lots of pics and give us all a laugh |
I don't think anybody wants to see that, I'm sure the chat/bbq fogs of old will agree!
Thanks all, well I'm going tomorrow and they're in by case so hopefully they'll be alright! ____________________ Former: Derbi GP1 50, Sachs XTC 125, Suzuki GSXR 400 GK73A, Kawasaki ZX7R, Suzuki DR250, Yamaha RD350

I have army goretex overtrousers which would probably work with a couple pairs of thermal long johns underneath. Only £30 and useful on the bike, hillwalking etc, but probably a bit late if you're going tomorrow!
Have a good trip. |

I have returned from the French alps and the verdict is...
YES!!!!!
You can definitely use Motorcycle trousers for skiing. My Alpinestars were actually better then any expensive salopettes I've ever owned! It was so hot though that I ended up taking the liners out of them. Legs stayed 100% dry the entire time and they were very comfy, so overall I'd call it a success!
