I definitely cleaned the jets thoroughly numerous times.

Hong kong- when riding, I have tried pulling the choke just a very little bit and the bike starts to surge even worse ( as it should when is getting too much fuel).

At this point I am beginning to think electrical too. I have ordered a new plug lead. Does anyone know how to test a coil on a bike that runs off a magneto???

Anyways thanks for the help. I will let you all know how it goes when I get my plug lead and cap!!

Okay mates it was storming last night in Tennessee so I didn't get the bike out. I'll pull her out tonight and take a picture of the plug. Any advice on how I should ride it to get a good read on the spark plug?

Give it some throttle before it dies then remove the spark plug and see, smell and touch.
Also that plug in the pic should not be black on the electrode, so what colour is the spark and can you hear it spark?????

okay mates sorry for the wait....

Anyways, i replaced the plug, lead and cap. Nothing has changed. The other day the bike started 2nd kick and idled great until it got a little warm. Then it began to idle rough and surge when getting around 1/4 throttle.

My last resort at this moment is to buy a new carburetor, since i still think the bike has an air leak. I am usually not one to just throw new parts at an engine until it works but i have spent enough time messing with this thing.

SOOO thanks for all the help everyone, i will let you know when the new mikuni comes in and if it doesnt help anything then i will get back to the drawing board.
