Hi,

I am looking for a bit of advice with reference to my 650 xvs drag star.

I ran out of fuel last week so I put the reserve tank on but bike wouldn't start it just clicked.

So, I went on line to see if I could sort the problem and did the following.

Bought a new battery. Still clicked.
Changed solenoid. Still clicked.
Changed starter motor. Still clicked.
Clean and tightened terminals and earth. Still clicked.

I have exhausted everything I think it could be so if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

First thing to do is stop throwing random parts at the problem and buy a multimeter.

A multimeter would be very useful, not very expensive....

Starter relay? sidestand switch?

Thank you. I will invest in one and see what happens (once I work out how to use one)
😁

Worst case did it actually run out of fuel, or did the motor seize?

Multimeter is the most useful thing in my toolbox.
