Hi All,

I require a new 6v lighting circuit resistor for a Honda H100A.

Does anyone know where I can get one from?

If I am unable to get a 6v item, will a 12v resistor be suitable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have a Haines manual for this bike, but suspect it is similar to the CG125. A resistor was used on 6 volt [early] CGs. It was used as a crude regulator in the lighting circuit. It is only in circuit when the bike is ridden on sidelight, and its purpose was to burn the power that would otherwise feed the headlight. Its value is 2 Ohms, and should be rated at 18 watts or higher. Symptoms of a failed resister = pilot lamp bulb constantly blowing. Actually, if you always ride with headlight switched on, you could probably manage without the resistor.
