That was unexpected!

It'll be interesting to be see if he can be anywhere near competitive on a new machine after a year out.

Still got no chance of beating Hutchy or Dunlop though (in my humble opinion)

I'm excited by this. I'm now a bit annoyed I'm missing Ulster but it's my first year at the TT and the Gold Cup lineup should be top notch in September. I agree he's not on MD or Hutchy's level but it only takes a breakdown or two.

Josh Brookes to Norton is also really cool. Given the depth of field top 10s will be an achievement but hopefully it'll lead to him riding race-winning bikes in future years.

After reading his books that pc of him and John looks a bit cringey.

His last two books he's been going on about how he won't race because he doesn't see the point of keep on keeping on because there's more to life than crashing and causing yourself serious damage - Ulster 15. Way the last one ended it seemed to me like mind was made up to carry on doing cycling events and likewise. Surprise return.

Also I recall him mentioning John in his book saying something like he doesn't get why he keeps on doing it year in year out and his age. Well, while I can't recall what was written exactly it wasn't favourable.

Hutchy will still be fizzing He's been doing rather well on track too unlike the other roadracers.
I just want John to retire now. He's a Ledge. I want him to have the opportunity to gloat for the rest of his life.

imo Honda only signed guy for publicity gainage, he had his best chance with the tyco bmw & still didn,t win. in his latest book he says he should have quit racing 3 years ago ?. I'm a fan of him, but I honestly believe he has made a wrong decision to come back to road racing. mcpint will continue to win in ttzero until he beats joeys record & then retire king of the mountain
