Posted this here as I don't mind travelling a few miles to Gloucester or south Wales as long as I can find someone willing to do the job I'm planning on; that isn't priced over the moon.
Don't really fancy buying a welder to try it myself. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Not sure what you are wanting made, but we use ASL precision sheet metal a lot at work.
Ask for Paul Salter.
Comapnies I know of, but don't often use:
City engineering
Robin Butler Engineering
My brother in law is a professional coded welder who used to have a business making all sorts. He is in a 'proper' job now, but is bristol based and might be a cheaper option than going to an engineering firm.
If you PM'd me a bit more detail I could ask him if he's open to a bit of work? ____________________ 1993 Kawasaki AR50 (In bits) - 1984 Suzuki GP125 (Sold, but still ridden) - 1954 Matchless G3L (Being restored) - 2007 Suzuki Bandit 650 |

Cheers for the reply, I'm just after two brackets making up for some panniers and a seat plate making. The seat plate would just be a square bit of metal with the sides bent downwards. I could bring the bike to the person so they can get the correct measurements.
Just some of the people I've tried so far have said the jobs are too small and not worth it for their time. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

They do say "no job too small" so they may be able to knock something up for you. They were recommended to me when I needed seat brackets for a car, but I managed to make my own in the end. ____________________ Triumph Sprint ST 1050. And it's Red. |
