What's your inside leg?
Your initial problem is that your test bike needs to be 395cc+ which in practice means a CB500F or even something bigger like an ER6 or SFV650.
So, sorry to be <Buzz Killington> but until you've got your A2 licence, it's a premature question. After you're licensed, you'll know what size of bike you can comfortably handle.
Premature answers are that a Ninja 300 can be easily handled with a 28" inside leg. Other good shouts might be the R3 or Duke 390, or the CBR300R if you can find one. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
GONE: HN125-8, LF-250B, GPz 305, GPZ 500S, Burgman 400 // RIDING: F650GS (800 twin), Royal Enfield Bullet Electra 500 AVL, Ninja 250R because racebike |

I'm fairly short. can stand flat foot on my zzr6 no problem at all. i dare say i can sit down on it with both feet flat and knees bent.
only thing realistically to do is go out there and sit on some bikes and see what you're comfortable on ____________________ CBT - 17/09/12 * Theory - 23/10/12 * Mod1 - 05/03/13 * Mod2 - 25/03/13 * BOSH!

Pass your test and then start looking for the right bike.
Meanwhile, if you get a chance then sit on any bike you can (With permission) to get ideas and to keep an eye on prices of what's suitable. This may help https://cycle-ergo.com/ .
Bear in mind that many bikes that initially look too tall may have a longer travel suspension and be much lower when you're sitting on them. ____________________ The above comment isn't necessarily the truth and anyone that says it is, is only correct if it's the truth or they're bigger than me. |

Also seat width. I sat on a dirt bike which was 875mm and was surprised I could get my feet down as well as on the MT-03 (at 805mm). |
