We love traveling... I think both of us have an endless energy. After long workdays, we plan travelling for weekends. Try to escape from city. This story begins after the decision to become motorist of 2 IT workers.

Triumph was delivered to us on second week of January after waiting about 2 months. We had our first trip on March 18th because of the endless winter in Istanbul.

18th of March, 10:30. The bright blue sky, lit up with a sparkling sun, seemed to be our day. Our bikes were fully loaded with clothes and film equipments: 2 Go Pro, Canon 650D and DJI Mavic.

We passed through the Osmangazi Bridge and planned to visit Cumalıkızık, Gölyazı, Mudanya. After about 2 hours on the TEM highway, we reaced Cumalıkızk. This is one of the first places where the Ottomans settled in Bursa. Cumalıkızık holds 270 historical houses. Some of them are in process of restoration and maintenance. 180 of them are still being used as dwellings. Due to its importance in 2014, it was accepted to UNESCO's World Heritage List.

It is only 10 km away from Bursa. We strongly recommend that not to enter the Cumalıkızık Square with a 270 kg weight bike like Tiger. We had parked Tiger in the garden of the village school which is next to the square.

We took out of equipments and put into the panniers. The peasents sells their wonderful homemade products in the village square. After walking around, of course I ate all of them. There is no space in the panniers Smile

Old houses made of colorful stones, wood and mudbrick. Water flows on stone floors of the narrow streets. The rarity of reinforced concrete houses is a sign of how beautiful this village is.

"Kiraz Ev" (Cherry House), about 350 years old, has a tiny courtyard. We started to visit the house after having a Turkish coffee. While climbing the stairs, you cannot get yourself without thinking about the old people living there. All of the items were brought from Bursa and the surrounding villages. Non-Bursa and non-historical items were not accepted.

We leaved the Cherry House and headed to the famous gin area. This is actually a narrow passage at the end of a dead end street. One of the norrowest street in the world.

We felt hungry and went back to the village square. A local seller who has a restaurant in the village courtyard invited us to her home with all her hospitality. There was a lovely dog named as Cotton (Pamuk).

After the meal it was mavics turn. We captured some photos and videos of a bird's-eye view of the village. We were chatting with 3 children while flying around. They were from Cumalıkızık.

Planned to spend 1 hour, but stayed 3 hours. I don't know how the time passed by so fast. It's time to ride.

GÖLYAZI

After we left Cumalıkızık it took about 50 minutes to arrive Gölyazı. Gölyazı is a peninsula near the Ulubat lake. This is a historical place, but there was not much left from the past. This city was the capital of the Kingdom of Apollo. There is a historic church with small remains of old city walls.

After we passed through a narrow bridge connected to the mainland, we parked and started to discover around.

A couple of streets away, there was a little girl selling handmade jewelry. She posed for us to take some photos and videos.

We reached the village square. There were places in the square, right next to the lake. We went to the Ağlayan Çınar (Crying shed) in the front of the bridge after drinking a cup of tea. It's 744 years old. Years caused it to lean one side.

As the sun slowly settled down we headed out to the Zambak hill. It was a dirty road with mud. We had chance to test the torque of the 1200cc engine. It was short but pleasant.

Bird-eye view was superb. It is great to see the island from the 200meters height. We went over Gölyazı and took photos. The island, lake and reeds can be seen easily from the drone.

It's time to prepare. We put on our equipment and rode to Mudanya.

An hour after Gölyazı, we were in Mudanya at 19:30. We had planned to pass kocaeli gulf with ferry.
As we checked on the internet it was available but there was no service.

We wen't back to Istanbul on the same route.

Thank you. Istanbul is a great city and there is lots of places to visit. I will prepare a video of Istanbul.

You can expand your route. For example: Cappadocia
