Morning all,

Would any of you be willing to answer a very short 3 question survey for me on how many of you ride through winter?

I'm going to be doing something similar on a much larger scale through Carole Nash at some point and want to start with a small group to see the results?

Pretty please with cherries on top?

Had to google it...

"Noun. japester (plural japesters) One who japes; a jester or prankster. [ 2009 August 30, Jonathan Lethem, “Eyes Wide Open”, in New York Times: Moore is an equal-opportunity japester: heroes and villains both crack wise with Chandleresque vivacity, so you can't use cleverness as a moral index."

last question seemed a bit vague to me, obviously you know what you're asking but are we understanding it in the same way?

I just wash my visor when I get to work / home while putting kit away, when it's wet the rubber strip on my glove does an ok job of clearing it, I'm guessing you're thinking of offering something different to the market?

also may want to ask what usual bike use is, I only commute by bike, rarely time to just go for a ride so ticked commuting.

hth Thumbs Up

done, commute in winter and a microfiber cloth tucked behind the dash and screen will keep visor clear until I get to work and it gets a proper clean, same on journey home

Its written poorly - my fault. Currently (as I see it) you can either (1) live with it or (2) clean the visor when you stop the bike somewhere.

The question is supposed to lead you to believe their might be a (3) that involves being able to do (2) without stopping the bike.

Good point though. It was a bit vague, but I have to be or it will affect the patent application. Sad Sorry.

The commuting thing was bang on, if you commute and ride for fun through winter - Id probably expect you to click "all the time".

Thumbs Up

I was thinking about a visor cleaning system the other day. On the A40, in heavy traffic, just before it becomes the M40 (and then I head onto the M25) a bird scored a direct hit in front of my left eye. So some obscured vision, but worried to wipe it as a smear could be worse, and no really safe place to stop (hard shoulder would have happened if it was worse, but they aren't exactly safe places to be).

I did have a quick look at visorcat, but actually I can count on the fingers of one foot how many times a month I normally consider stopping specifically to clean my visor.

Yeah visorcat gets mixed reviews. Its also confusing as its marketed as "the only visor cleaning solution you can use whilst moving" But then regularly gets caveat-ed by people saying you should only use it when stationary at traffic lights etc.

Not saying I wouldn't buy one - but not at £30!

I reckon I asked nicely enough and didn't just bob on here only to post a survey....

People are generally nice if you don't take the pi$$. Smile

From a regular who asks nicely, why not?

Re: Visorcat (which really sounds like a BCF product) I did come to the conclusion that if I could be bothered a damp cloth put into my glovebox (the joy of Pan ownership!) would do the job just as well.

I keep thinking I should get one of those, but it crosses my threshold for an impulse purchase for something that you so rarely need.

I'm surprised it hasn't been cloned, but perhaps it's just not popular enough.

Despite the positive reviews from many a respected Motoring authority (and IscAM)

Its companies house accounts dont paint a very profitable picture.... Personally I think its their pricing.

Sub £20 would fall into impulse buy and more people would have a go...
