Oops. Everything is down versus last year, 125s are down by over 30%, with no sign of a rebound. One in every twelve 125cc bikes sold last month was a Honda PCX.

And love a duck, BMW are #2 sellers, soundly beating Yamaha into 3rd, only just ahead of Triumph. Over 2100 motorrad registered on shiny new plates in March. R, XR, RR, RT, and - of course - GSes everywhere. PCP 4 all.

A decent showing from Kawasaki, Harley continue strong, and even Ducati managed to whup Suzuki.

Lexmoto have vanished from the Top 10 along with the 125 sales. Nice one, Brussels, well done. Keeping bikers safe by pricing them out of the market. Vision Zero becomes clearer all the time.

Very impressive from BMW considering no 125. Top for Adventure, super sport, naked and touring. Clapping

They'll be fine, they've got a bunch of "new" bikes for 2017.

[Reheats V-Strom in microwave, mixes in some ketchup]

Mmm, in terms of revenue, BMW are probably whupping Honda too.

MCN on Facebook yesterday, using the DL250 as an example of modern cool small capacity bikes. What crack have they been smoking.

Eh, the Teeny-Wee-Strom might actually do OK. It had better, given that they've canned the Inazuma 250 which was actually selling fairly well. Oh, Suzuki. Rolling Eyes

The GSX-R125 is long overdue (and looks like it won't be here until Autumn Clapping). The GSX250R (honest, not a Gixxer, ignore the "GP" version) is baffling. Pricing on the V-Strom 650 is fantastical.

They need the new GSX-R1000 to sell like gangbusters.

In the short term though, the concern has to be for small independent 125 sellers. They can't keep shifting pre-reg stock or crossing their fingers that DVLA will keep grandfathering in new pre-Bollocks bikes indefinitely without bothering about the notional 20% limit.

£2200+ pricing for the cheapest Euro 4 bikes is going to push Terry Teen straight to Honda or Yamaha. That's if they can even get them - neither WK nor Sinnis appear to have any Bollocks bikes available at the moment.

I'd buy one if it weighed 25kg less. It weighs more than my 990 - that's not on.

The 125s being down has killed the Chinese manufacturers that normally make the top 10. All the major marquees seem to be doing ok at the moment.

I see despite the weight the Honda CRF 250 RLA has been selling. I do like the look of it, but you'd probably be better off with a used wr250 and the change spent on a long range tank and comfortable seat, maybe a bit of luggage. It would still weight less than the CRF
