If you're not Indian /gross racial generalisation and a medical practitioner yourself does it work?
I've been seeing a doctor the past 5 months. Yet in these 5 months we see each other perhaps once every 2 weeks.
She's finishing her F1 (just before specialism training which will take anywhere from 4-13 years) and her rota is absolutely packed with long 12h shifts. On top of this are exams and lots of self study.
In an ironic twist I've been this person. During my accountancy exams I worked during the day. Took work home and did self study for exams. I only went out with a few women during this time and most felt I didn't have time for them and we soon parted company.
Though I do my own things generally and I'm generally content with doing my own things and like Wildgoose said if somebody comes along and you're generally content then it's a nice bonus elseif it doesn't matter as you're ok alone anyway.
Any thoughts?

10 interactions? That's barely enough to qualify her as an acquaintance, let alone a partner.
I'd relegate that to "bit on the side".
You come across like a nice guy for one of "them"[*] but seem to be constantly dating or hooking up with the wrong women. Gold diggers, prozzies, careerists.
Is this just lack of opportunity, or is there some status filter at play where Itchy's woman needs to earn mad scratch?
I was watching a bit of Stefan Molyneux recently, as you do, and this honest conversation may be apropos. tl;dw summary - smart, attractive woman wants a husband and kids but has failed to find one while rattling around academia and a laundry list of jobs.
She just can't get it into her head that it's possible to land a good man who will take care of her unless she first has a good career, despite intellectually acknowledging that her goal is to ditch that career ASAP and pump out babies. "Yeaaaah..." she says, over and over, "... buuuuuuut...."
Does that strike a chord? Are you only considering life partners who are astronaut-CEO-supermodels? Your doctor lady may be a smart cookie, but what does that matter if you never get to talk to her?
Have you considered getting yourself a nice-but-dim church girl whose goal in life is to marry and keep a welcoming home and form babby with you, putting a ring on it, and getting busy?

Anyway, it sounds like you have the right attitude about it, Itchy.
Cos at F1 stage they are pretty much wrapped up in their career, and it goes on for years to come. I don't think it ever actually stops with doctors, to be quite honest.
So I reckon if you do have the ability to do your own thing whilst she is always massively busy, then go for it, and find some mutual ground to meet in the middle when you can.
I'm not quite sure if I understand ... is she Indian (?) cos her family will be dead agin you if she is, you know they will want her to stay within that cultural schtick and do right by them. That might be a problem between you, obvs. If not, then carry on.
I've not really followed your career path but if you're still a beancounter, then you understand the professional strains, and she could do worse
Take no notice of everybody else's statistics: so long as you manage a shag when both of you aren't tired, then great. Intimacy may be more rare than amongst the lesser individuals, but its the way of things in real life for professionals. Be romantic anyway
And remember: if she gets a tad stressed, there's always the Practitioner Health Programme. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life.

Unlimited & cheap supply of prescription drugs?? If not, you'll have to have good reasons to keep it going. However, as you're not going into this with your eyes closed, and know what's going on, and why, then, really the balls in your court, is it worth it to you to keep the relationship going, if not, do the humane thing and end it, otherwise, just have to make the best of it. ____________________ Beware what photos you upload, or link to on here, especially if you have family members on them |

Open goal there Mr bear.
I used to know a Jap bloke but he took everything far too seriously, guy didn't know how to enjoy himself at all.
I don't interact with chinese folk except across 70's looking home made countertops. They don't seem to mix with
middle aged whitey? Couldn't tell you why, perhaps they are as racist as I am. Probably.
I married my mrs because I like her, it's a bonus that she now earns bundles and is still very attractive to me
16 years after meeting her. She was 18 and a student when we got together, I wasn't concerned about her family
background, career choice or any of that soul less crap. She made my dick good and hard, and when I wasn't banging her
I also enjoyed her company and shared some core values with her. But even if she had been a checkout girl at Tesco in the
end, none of my choices would heve been different. Might have had fewer nice holidays, but meh, you don't miss what
you never had. You can't turn everthing into a calculated choice. What a dull way to live ones life. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

You may be wealthier than me Itchy, but I'm happier than you and undoubtedly less stressed and I wouldn't
swap that for all the tea in China China China. You strange funny little man. Wouldn't catch me asking for relationship
advice on a forum, you saddo. Perhaps if you stopped counting your money for a second you'd realise it's not whats important. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Oh you're so clever that you have to resort to (incorrect) racial stereotypes right?
If you actually had a brain the L and R sounds exist in Chinese. Also in Korean too.
우리 is a weak L sound
라면 is a stronger L sound
알/아/ and 라 is an R sound

I reiterate again with the assumptions. I haven't mentioned money once in this thread yet you're perfectly willing to make assumptions. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I appear to have found a chink in your armour. I couldn't care less how unhappy you are being alone or how you
pronounce different letters for that matter. None of those things will stop me from sleeping happily next to my
wife tonight. I hope your chequebook is equally warm and cuddly, bet it's not though. Did your whore (you insisted
on telling everybody about) give you the boot? Jesus! If a rich bloke can't hang onto a whore then honestly I
think you may need professional help. It amuses me greatly that A. you think the answers you seek are here on
BCF of all places. Never has there been such a wretched hive of scum and villainy And B You are so socially stunted
that you need to ask in the first place. All work and no play makes Itchy such a dull boy doesn't it?? As for my level
of intelligence? Ignorance is bliss, hardest thing I've had to do today is walk my dog. All my bills are paid, my wife loves
me and I'm quite happy and content. Unlike clever old you, getting all bent out of shape because nobody appears to wants
you long term. You're terrified of losing some dough for making a bad choice. Your new squeeze might take you to the
cleaners one day and that terrifies you. That's what's at the heart of your quandry.
Perhaps your shitty I know everything attitude is a big part of why women find you insufferable, do you constantly
correct them as well? Phwooaaar!! That's hot! Not.
Maybe you are just too busy for them? in my experience women crave attention, and like to be put first. But you
are a business first kind of guy, that much is clear. I can't imagine why you aren't beating them off with a stick?
Ask a few of your exes, they can answer that more comprehensively than me. I'm just a thicko, but a very happy
one enjoying a cold beer while I wind you up a bit for the lulz.
BCF= better than telly. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
