Hi all,

Ok, so overnight my bike has developed the same type noise as the below bike:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ij5X07B4s

So, I opened the starter clutch cover to have it release all contents onto my drive way.... not quite was I was expecting! Shocked after some faffing about i think I've got it back in the same order, but yet the problem persists. Should it be the starter clutch assembly, what specifically is the issue, burnt out plates like a normal clutch? I haven't measured them but there's no 'bluing'.
Could the starter motor be the cause, would it make a similar noise? Note the comments made to the video strongly suggesting starter clutch not motor. I don't want to start looking for parts until i know what i need.

Thanks!! Cool

Starter clutch, the teeth go flat so it can't grab hold of the starter gear, or the spring wears out
