valve buckets...

yep the vtr lunched the front head again Very Happy

apparently not using threadlock on the manual cct because it makes it much harder to do it "finger tight" when next adjustment comes was shit advice and it unwound itself Very Happy

mixture of headphones + linkin park meant i didnt hear it going

so anyway
i was being ham fisted and the buckets are always a little tight to get in so i gave them a little tap with a mallet to make them seat before doing clearences..

miles out now remove buckets to change shims... NOPE plasma welded themselves in

best way to remove? welding shit to them and pulling i guess?

Stick the old valve stem through the guide and give it a tap.

Threadlock where? They have a locknut, which is perfectly adequate when tightened properly.

Crippletron will not rest until the global supply of VTR valves has been exhausted.

Just buy a working engine and never open it up.
