Does anyone know if some of these parts are compatible? I'm looking at clip on handle bar that look pretty similar on ebay but I don't have a clue whether they'd fit or not? Another one i'm looking at is wheels? Is there anything different on the 600r wheels compared to the 500s wheels that would stop them from fitting?

Any help would be much appreciated, as I need to find out before this stuff sells! Sad

Mike

Well if the wheels the same profile/size then I shouldn't see why not.

As for the handle bars they may fit, as I know Kawasaki used standard parts across most of the models in the late/early 80's/90's

Cheers mate, it's just my right handle bar's bent from when someone's dropped it/knocked it over, so really I only need one handle bar it's just i'm finding it hard to get my hands on a cheap second hand pair. I've found one for the 600r, which just so happen's to be for the right hand side, so far they're only on a fiver so I might as well try them, and he's only in warrington near one of my colleagues place!

Cool, try MDL Spares in warrington too, he might have something you need. Very Happy

Hi

I would be VERY surprised if they use the same bars. Those on the GPZ500S look far higher than the GPZ600R.

They both use 16" wheels but the 600 uses slightly wider tyres. Also the 600 has twin front disks while the UK 500 has a single disk, and the 600 has a rear disk while the 500 has a drum.

All the best

Keith

I've been awaiting your sourceful post Keith, and unfortunately it's not what I wanted to hear! (No offense or anything, it's just I was really hoping for these bars to fit because there dirt cheap, and i've been looking for absolutely ages now (months!))

Cheers anyway though! Thumbs Up

Hi

If they are dirt cheap then take the risk. They might fit as a pair (and give you a rather sportier and more comfortable riding position).

All the best
