The lib Dems could well make good inroads into the other parties if they campaign on a soft brexit. If you were pro remain, what other choice would you have?

Has he? He's tried to change his tune but for every pro brexit statement he makes there are 100 revealing his true feelings on the matter. He's completely f**ked now, Lib Dem f**ked. Had he stuck to his principles (amazing how politicians still don't get this) he'd be the leading anti-brexit party, instead it's left to the lib dems to hope no one remembers what happened just a few short years ago.

I think she's learnt the lesson from Gordan Brown, he went from responsibly popular to GTFO during his time in charge, and decided against calling a snap election when the polls were in his favour.

It is a fair point. Sharia's a champion of the Nanny State. Frustrated mothering instincts - see also Merkel and Krankie.

It's almost like you've forgotten that the conservatives were in power...

It was a coalition government where the lib dems went back on their manifesto pledges?

Again principles.

Corbyn is the one who has been going on about how May should call a snap general election.

Lib Dems? "I pledge to vote against any increase in fees in the next parliament" Wink

What we really need is Trump and Mike the electric fence Pence. Wub

You need to look a little closer at the conservative manifesto..

Confirmed, he's gone full Aarons: "I want to lead a government that will transform this country [so bring it, bitch]".

Absolutely deranged. The best thing he could do for his party would be to die in a tragic allotment accident on the eve of the election.

The only way I can see to avoid a huge Tory majority government would be for all the opposition parties to agree to field a single candidate in each remotely marginal constituency. And even at that, I doubt they could actually stop folk running as "Continuity Labour" or similar. "Literal Democrat" has already been done.

I'm half delighted at the lulz, and half horrified at the prospect of a staunchly pro-globalist pro-immigration pro-EU authoritarian harridan being given 5 years of unfettered power. You ain't no Maggie, sis.

They were the alternative vote, in particular a lot of young people voted for them (IIRC they said they would scrap tuition fees). To then get into a coalition government and go back on their manifesto was a very bad move, they were basically the Tories bitch until Cameron tossed their battered semen stained body out a moving car.

But people do have short memories...

I'm not actually surprised by this. May wants a mandate for herself as leader. Best time to destroy Labour. Libs and UKIP are fucked and she can't do any worse versus the SNP than they are doing now.

But I don't mind what happens as long a Diane Abbott gets taken to a quiet HS2 bridge site and is thrown into the wet foundations. Praying

If you want a super-authoritarian Nanny State, fuck off under Ergodan's wing. Or to North Korea.

Know how our grandparents etc. fought for the basic freedoms we enjoy? Well, they'd be turning in their graves. Except maybe yours, who was probably a blackshirt anyway.

I wonder if she would have called a general election if Corbyn hadn't been going on about it forever and if the Lib Dems hadn't been trying to screw up brexit with their bleating for another referendum.

The same basic freedoms you'll willingly give away in order to hug an immigrant, with your overly liberal views?

Me giving freedoms away? I'm not the one who's A-OK with being snooped on, having a dossier built against absolutely everyone, having workers rights eroded in the workplace, and having a strawman to point at in the shape of every single immigrant in the country, no matter how much they've contributed. That's how the Nazi's started.

So, as I said, Erdogan is going to clamp down on all this. NorKor wouldn't let it happen in the first place. Off you pop. Ta-ta Middle Finger Mr. Green Middle Finger

Because of..... go on......, that's right, "immigrants" kicking off.

Yep. You can thank the Muslamics for that one.

Jewlio Rides Again wrote:

Yep. The flood of cheap immigrant labour, willing to work with no rights.

Most are low earners, so take more in tax credits and benefits than they pay back in tax. The over supply of labour also push down wages and they also export cash out of the economy. But, hey, nothing to do with uncontrolled immigration, oh no.

It's all the Tories fault comrade.

Point 1: Any excuse.
Point 2: Guilty until proven innocent? As I already said, fuck off to Turkey. He has the same attitude as you.
Point 3: Workers rights were being eroded prior to immigration. Or do you only go back 10 years, and don't remember the clamp down on the unions? Probably the same way you like your girlfriends too, ten years.
Point 4: And they make up a large proportion of the NHS staff, with no readily available workers to step in and replace them. I know you're a cunt who probably thinks healthcare shouldn't be free at point of use anyway - except when you're receiving it, most likely - But I don't view it in an entirely selfish way, because I'm not a donk.

I don't think any other Tory would be as much for clamping down on the rights as she is. Funny though, the Tories are less 'Nanny State', but all the privacy clampdowns in cahoots with the epic clampdown on driving offences... Are you sure?

Hush, you, Insightfuls all round. Shake the jar and make them fight.

It makes perfect sense for Shariah and the Tories (if not for individual sitting MPs).

The LimpDems have very little to lose, the Scotch Racialists might even gain as well. Again, as parties, not as sitting MPs.

But for Labour to support it is incomprehensible. But that's Jezza for you.

The party might back it as a way to finally be rid of him, is all I can think. But the party is not the MPs, and I assume each and every one of the duplicitous weasels will be thinking "Yeahbut, what's in it for me?"

Bear in mind that MPs don't have to vote against it: they can just pull an Abbott and be too sick to vote for it. It needs 434 Ayes to pass.

Who would you have instead negotiating Brexit? I'm not voting for her but that's mainly cos I could never vote Tory, and I don't run to the polls like everything's alright because of a token democratic gesture (the EU referendum was a one off). That reminds me how do you get off the electoral roll?
