Getting crippling stiffness.... in neck and shoulders, wish it was lower but, old age.
Looking at one that ticks most boxes. Looks comfy, more upright riding position, not the hooligan that the 'blade makes me want to be.
Very low miles so clutch and driveshaft should not be a problem.
Any input gratefully received.

Had the R1100rs it was a great bike; adjustable seat height and screen would revs all across the board. Practically faultless apart from when the clutch went that was horrendous which meant I ended up selling it for a large loss. Apart from that I would't have one again even with it being good on fuel. It just didn't inspire any fun you could ride it around in 4th easily at 30mph and it would still pull away.

My dad had the boxer cup version for years and loved it, it got stolen twice in the space of a few months and the second time he didn't get it back.

Boxertrix is the forum that will give the best specific info Thumbs Up

The RS is probably a more user friendly bike due to the riding position and I reckon that they are easier to sell on too. Clutches can go at any mileage so best buying one that's had it done already. Having said that, there are plenty of independent BMW workshops about these days and if you ever have to pay for a clutch it will make it easier to sell later.
