Woke this morning too find my pride and joy had been stolen, less than a 2000 miles on the clock, it had two chains and they've obviously carried it off my drive

Gutted for you. Sad

I hope you either have GAP or the insurance payout is enough to cover the finance you still owe.

Aww mate, Gutting.

Horrible feeling to see an empty space where the bike was.

Lovely bike too!

Best Wishes Thumbs Up

I moved house recently and couldn't find anywhere with a garage and had no way to get it into my garden. Didn't have any choice that to park in on my drive. I'd just bought a ground anchor to and hadn't got round to installing it. Lesson learned

Totally sucks. Were the chains attached to anything or just through the wheels?

As ZX-7R said mine's in the estate car park chained to a lamp post, disc lock, two covers, and a two-way alarm that has a ringing key fob.

Can't be too careful nowadays especially with a bike like that.

Imo if they can't see the bike without tripping the alarm first that's a good start.

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Burnham is a nice part of the world, just sadly too close to Slough. There's a reason that many local news stories end with the phrase "the thieves were seen leaving in the direction of Slough". I'm fortunate to live just far enough away that the genetic aberrations that devolve in that cesspit can't be arsed to shamble our way.

That being said I feel paranoid about leaving a bike on my drive for more than a few seconds. Out of sight is more than half the battle.

Is there any way that you can get a bike into the garden? Movable ramp on the doorstep? Stone flooring through the house to the back door? Understanding missus?

Damn, really gutted for you.
That is a nice looking bike. I hope you're not out of pocket when the insurance pays out.
This just increases my paranoia even more and It's getting to the point where I'm afraid to take the cover off mine in the garage without the fear of some scummy scrote helping himself.
