Hi all,
I have an old sat nav which I like. Its small & I can use it on the bike & car.
I prefer it to my phones sat nav tbh & its simple to use etc.
But its old, like REALLY old, so needs updated maps.
(I only need UK maps btw)
It takes a standard SD card (not micro SD) & only 2gb.

Its a Garmin nuvi 300 (yes its that old).

I had a quick look online & garmin want 50 quid plus for an official update. (I could buy a new sat nav for less!) & I also had a quick look on eBay & cheapest I could find was about 25 quid.

So, anyone any ideas how I can get it cheaper? (or even free)
Go!

cheers,
GAZ

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

the new maps use the unicorn coding and the old stuff doesn`t .. cannot see the old remaining around indefinitely .. that's probably when my 550 will be retired ..
that's why I bought an 340 LTM from aldi.

it will be cheaper to buy a new sat-nav now ...

Download that, copy the .img file into the /garmin/ folder on the sd card and away you go.

If you haven't got something to download from magnet links with then get this: https://www.qbittorrent.org/download.php
