Roger - I don't like to talk about it usually. It was a horrible accident involving the venturi effect and a large convoluted rubber disc. To this day I can't look at a carb without an overwhelming sense of sadness.

GT200 - carb's may be easier to fix but fuel injection rarely has any issues in the first place in my experience. I'd have FI on my chainsaws/mowers/etc. if I could.

Sorry, didn't mean to trigger you. Embarassed

To be fair, I wouldn't want 4 carbs. 1 is about the limit of my tinkering tolerance these days.

On Saturday I went round all the local(ish) bike shops and decided that I wasn't that keen on anything they had in and would just keep my eye out for a late Hornet.

Sunday morning I mentioned to my GF that I'd probably need to compromise as the chances of finding a late Hornet nearby were rather minimal. Checked gumtree to find one had been listed an hour before just 30 mins drive away. A couple of hours later I rolled it into my garage. I like it when things just fall into place that way.

It's not immaculate but it's pretty smart. I don't think I'll be troubling the top end of the rev range for a while though. I know it's far from fast in the bike world but it's plenty entertaining for me.

Evidence accepted. Thumbs Up

Nicely done. How ASBO is that exhaust?

I really don't like the exhaust. I will be buying a used standard one off ebay and swapping it. Should be cost neutral to do that way.
