Hello guys!.

After my ECU was stolen I bought a used one, plugged it in, but the bike still doesn't start.

The only difference I observe is cracking/clicking sound immediately after turning on the key, the sound stops after a few seconds.

The engine light doesn't go on when I turn on the ignition.

The starter works fine, I can hear it trying to start the engine.

A video with the sound:

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thank you, but I've already bought a used one, but the bike doesn't start. I don't know if I bought the wrong model of ECU or it simply doesn't work.
Probably one of the above.

Does the Honda HISS anti-theft system match the key transponder with the ECU?
If it does, you need the key that goes with your ECU, or an expensive visit to a Honda dealer for key coding.

Took it to a mechanic. It turned out the wiring was damaged.
